Ceramic Egg Painting Workshop at Rutland Nursery:

Celebrate the arrival of Spring with a relaxing and creative ceramic egg painting workshop, led by Melton Mowbray-based artist and illustrator Catherine Shaw.

In this session, Catherine will guide you through painting three ceramic eggs, sharing ideas for colours, patterns, and designs inspired by her love of nature and the changing seasons. You’ll learn simple techniques and tips to create your own unique decorations, perfect for displaying at home.

Catherine is an accomplished artist whose work draws on her childhood spent exploring the countryside and her passion for capturing the beauty of flora and fauna. With a background in Decorative Arts and Textile Design from Nottingham Trent University, Catherine has extensive experience as a designer and illustrator. Her artwork has featured in UK and international retailers and reflects her thoughtful approach to colour and pattern.

Taking time to create something with your hands can be a welcome escape from daily distractions. Catherine believes art has a positive impact on well-being, offering a chance to unwind and focus in a way that’s both rewarding and enjoyable.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a collection of beautifully hand-painted eggs that will brighten your home and celebrate the season.
